Director- Business Development (Ref. ID: BD3)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8-12 years of experience in roles related to Product Management, Business Analyst, Business Development, Marketing, Sales
  • Of the total experience, minimum 5 years in a role that required business solicitation
  • Should have experience in managing a team, training, assignment of tasks, performance evaluation of team members
  • Ability to create marketing requirements for software products
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
  • Prepared to travel (mostly international)

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ in computer science or engineering. Candidates with a bachelors’ degree in any other discipline can also be considered provided they have relevant and sufficient experience. MBA preferred.

Role and Responsibilities:

BD/Sales Tasks:

  • Take complete responsibility for business development for a single product/service or product category
  • Manage all business communication related to that product or category
  • Supervise and manage a team of junior BDM personnel
  • Write and negotiate contracts with customers and distributors

Marketing/Budgeting Tasks:

  • Determine marketing strategy for assigned product or category
  • Budget marketing & sales expenses required for assigned product or category

Other Tasks:

  • Provide new product ideas to company based on feedback from customers
  • Create Marketing Requirement Document (MRD) for new products
  • Participate in industry associations and groups of which company is member

HR Tasks:

  • Review performance of team members and identify Training and development needs
